Oakwood Archiving Project

Established in 1852, Oakwood has an extensive collection of burial permits, records and maps.  All materials are being categorized and archived for protection against future deterioration.   Digitization is ongoing with the goal of making these records available to the public.

Historic Preservation

Oakwood Cemetery boasts historical structures including a family mausoleum (1910), a large Green and Wicks designed mausoleum building (1913), a stone gateway (1922), an office (1922), and a vault/crematory (1877/1956). Proper upkeep of these structures is important to the mission of the Oakwood Cemetery Heritage Foundation.
